ANB FUTBOL ACADEMY’S RYAN FAGEN SIGNS WITH NIAGARA UNIVERSITY

(RELEASE) March 20, 2007 – ANB Soccer Inc. is pleased to announce that 17-year old boy’s academy showcase team member, Ryan Fagen, has signed a letter of intent to play NCAA Division I men’s soccer this fall with the Niagara University Purple Eagles.

Ryan, a Markham resident who will be majoring in business when he attends Niagara University in September, is currently a grade 12 student at Markham District High School.  He captained the MDHS varsity boy’s soccer team for the last two years and this past fall led the team to its most successful season in the 52-year history of the school – a semi-final appearance in the York Region Athletic Association Tier I Soccer Championships.

Recognized as a physical player with tremendous vision, footwork and passing skills, who can contribute from both the midfield and on defense, Ryan began his soccer career with the Markham Lightning. He played for several other clubs before joining ANB Soccer two years ago.

In 2005, he was selected to play for the U18 Canadian soccer team that competed at the World Maccabi Games in Israel but was unable to attend due to club team commitments. He captained the Toronto U16 boy’s soccer team which brought home bronze and gold medals from the 2004 and 2005 North American JCC Maccabi Games in Washington, D.C. and Richmond, Va.  In January 2004, he led an U15 Newmarket Patriots squad to the finals of the U.S. 3v3 Soccer Shootout National Championships at Disney World in Florida.

“Ryan has worked extremely hard over the past two years to improve his soccer skills and elevate his game to a higher level,” commented ANB Soccer’s Master Coach and Academy Director, Bassam Naim. “The ANB Soccer community of players, coaches, managers and parents congratulate him on his achievement and wish him all the best in his academic and soccer pursuits at Niagara University.”

Niagara University plays in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC). Last season, the Purple Eagles’ men’s soccer side advanced to the semi-finals of the MAAC tournament for the second straight year, compiling a 7-7-4 overall record.

ANB academy's vision is to become Canada’s leading soccer development organization. Its mission is to identify Canadian soccer talent, and to maximize the potential of players at any level, through professional coaching and training.

Hi Bassam

Pietro Pasqualino here.  I know it has been a while but as my university career is coming to a close I thought I would take a moment to let you just how things have been going.  I have almost completed my studies at Manhattanville College In New York and if all goes according to plan I will graduate with a BA in Finance.  Each year I have made the dean's and the end of this year will be no different, I hope.

I don't know whether I have ever truly thanked you for all you have done for me.  Your constant encouragement on and off the field is something I will never forget.  I can honestly looking back at the years and all that I learned from you has come in very handy.  A college scholarship was
something I dreamed about as a small child but you gave me the encouragement and showed me how it was possible to make my dream a reality.

Your dedication to our team, made me realize how important it was to put everything I had into my team at Manhattanville.  Your leadership taught me how to be a good leader to my teammates here and when they voted me as one of the captains, I learned how difficult it was to manage a team but
thinking back to some of the lessons you taught us, the captain role felt natural. I earned the respect of everyone on the team including the coaches, something I am very proud of.  Your commitment and high
standards, also taught us to have commitment in everything we do, not just in soccer but in life.  Being away from home was difficult at times but I knew this would lead me down a road where anything was possible.  I give 100% in everything I do because you gave us 100% when you were with us.
Your coaching skills and tactical skills are what gave me confidence in each game to play to the best of my ability.  (I hold the record for most games played at Manhattanville).

I cannot tell you just how happy I am to know that so many young players will receive your tutelage.  I know that they will become better players and people being around some one who is so enthusiastic and loves the game more than anyone I know.

Thanks again for all you have done.

Sincerely,
Pietro Pasqualino
Former North Mississuga Panther
Captain of The Manhattanville Valiants
